In the beautiful green north of Gran Canaria at a 10-minute drive from the lively capital La Palma lies this beautiful villa with heated private pool. Villa Tafira built in Canarian style exudes allure. Here you will experience an oasis of peace and space. There are lovely seating areas everywhere. Add to this the sea views and your stay is complete.
Tafira consists of two parts: Tafira Alta and Tafira Baja. They are basically suburbs of Las Palmas where the Canarian elite and wealthy foreigners live, in stately villas with beautiful gardens in all sorts of styles. Also visit the Jardin Canario, Spain's largest botanical garden. An impressive collection of 2,000 native and exotic plant species grows and blooms in the garden.
LAYOUT OF VILLA TAFIRA
This detached villa has an area of 500 m2 and is located on an estate of no less than 2000 m2. Villa Tafira consists of two living levels. There is a spacious living room with sofa, two luxurious armchairs, smart TV, a bookcase, office space and several dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, utensils etc. There is a separate laundry room where there is a dryer and washing machine. There are five bedrooms, three with double beds and two with two single beds. Villa Tafira has four bathrooms, one with bath and the other with shower, toilet and sink. Three bedrooms have direct access to the balcony with nice sitting area and sea views.
THE PRIVATE OUTDOORS OF VILLA TAFIRA
Villa Tafira has a lovely large private pool (12 x 5 m) where you can swim a few lengths. For an extra charge, the pool can also be heated for maximum comfort. There is a barbecue area and a nice lounge area on the terrace. There is an extra toilet by the pool. There is also a pool table and table tennis table.

The Villa is stunning and very big. Two families of four were lost in the size. It’s such a lovely quiet place. The balcony overlooking the pool was relaxing with a coffee until the sun was ready. Then the day was by the pool with intermittent table see more
The Villa is stunning and very big. Two families of four were lost in the size. It’s such a lovely quiet place. The balcony overlooking the pool was relaxing with a coffee until the sun was ready. Then the day was by the pool with intermittent table tennispoolfood in the outdoor terrace. This is a great place if you don’t want a busy holiday. The issue is the location, a local expensive shop is within a 5 minute walk. Most things can be bought to cook yourself. The Spar is 1km away which is bigger and cheaper and has a taxi rank outside to take you back with the shopping (€5). If you want restaurants then the area at the Spar is the nearest, so it’s a good walk there and back afterwards but there are some lovely restaurants. There is a restaurant nearby too in a very lovely setting and I would recommend this. But most places have limited English speaking and generally no English menus (google translate came in very handy). The area is really quiet, you hardly see any other peopleneighbours. To benefit more I would recommend hiring a car to explore more. We went to the north east beach area by taxi (€25 each way), but this was more for the locals, although we found a lovely Italian. We would have love to have seen more of the island but with no transport we couldn’t. In general, it was very relaxing, great Villa just a very quiet location.

De villa is prachtig en erg groot. Twee gezinnen van vier verloren zich bijna in de ruimte. Het is zo'n fijne, rustige plek. Het balkon met uitzicht op het zwembad was heerlijk om met een kopje koffie te ontspannen totdat de zon doorkwam. De dag werd doorgebracht bij het zwembad, afgewisseld met tafeltennis, zwemmen en eten op het terras buiten. Dit is een geweldige plek als je niet op zoek bent naar een drukke vakantie. Het enige minpuntje is de locatie: er is een dure lokale winkel op vijf minuten lopen. De meeste benodigdheden kun je zelf kopen om te koken. De Spar is 1 km verderop, die is groter en goedkoper en heeft een taxistandplaats om je terug te brengen met de boodschappen (€5). Als je naar restaurants wilt, dan is het gebied bij de Spar het dichtstbijzijnde, dus het is een stevige wandeling heen en terug, maar er zijn wel een paar fijne restaurants. Er is ook een restaurant dichtbij in een prachtige omgeving, dat zou ik zeker aanraden. Maar de meeste plekken hebben beperkt Engels sprekend personeel en vaak geen Engelse menu's (Google Translate was erg handig). De omgeving is erg rustig je ziet nauwelijks andere mensen of buren. Om meer te kunnen zien, zou ik aanraden om een auto te huren. Wij gingen met een taxi naar het noordoostelijke strandgebied (€25 per rit), maar dit was meer gericht op de lokale bevolking, al vonden we wel een leuk Italiaans restaurant. We hadden graag meer van het eiland gezien, maar zonder vervoer lukte dat niet. Over het algemeen was het erg ontspannen, een geweldige villa, alleen een zeer rustige locatie.
